1 Indications for use
The 2R117 Socket Connector connects the air path from the socket to the Harmony Pump.
It can also be used to connect the 4R136 Ottobock One-Way Valves.
The Harmony Socket Connector is to be used solely for the prosthetic fitting of the lower limb.
2 Components
The Harmony Socket Connector Kit includes the following components:
Socket Connector 2R116 2 ea
Sandpaper SL=P091-1 2 ea
Cotton tipped applicator 6” 640L8 2 ea
Black collar SL=4Y310 2 ea
Instructions For Use 647G404 1 ea
3 Installation
CAUTION
Incorrect alignment or assembly
Injuries due to fall resulting from damaged prosthesis components
• Observe the alignment and assembly instructions.
INFORMATION
Failure to follow the installation instructions carefully could result in a complete loss of va-
cuum to the socket and thus a significant loss in suspension force.
To install the 2R117 Harmony Socket Connector, you will also need the following tools:
• Needle nose pliers
• ¼" (6 mm) drill bit and drill
• Isopropyl alcohol
• Urethane adhesive (w/stick) (2 components) SL=P091
• Knife with curved blade
• Electrical tape
On a new socket, drill a ¼" (6 mm) hole into the socket at a distal, posterior position (Fig.1).
For sockets with a 4R136 Ottobock One-Way Valve, remove valve from socket and drill into
existing hole. Remove burrs from the inside of the socket.
Lightly sand both the interior and exterior of the socket with medium grit sandpaper to roughen
the bonding surface. Wipe with isopropyl alcohol to clean the bonding surface. Also clean the
2R117 Socket Connector with isopropyl alcohol.
