means both units share the first three fields of numbers, but have their own identifying number in
the last field so they won’t conflict with each other. This is generally the most important principle to
know when working via Ethernet.
Windows System
1. Connect your computer to the NMS port on switcher
2. Enter the ‘control panel’ of your computer, click ‘network and internet settings’
3. Click ‘change connection properties
4. Click ‘Ethernet’ in the left side menu
5. Right-click Ethernet network, select ‘Properties’ in the drop list.
6. Select TCP/IPv4, then click OK.
7. Select ‘Use the following IP address’ and input IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, then
click OK at the bottom. You are now have your network configured.
Tips: Default IP address for the video switcher is 172.16.161.106.
iOS System
1. Click the Apple icon then select the System Preferences… option.
2. Under Internet & Wireless, select Network.
3. Click the Advanced… …
4. Click TCP/IP.
5. From the Configure IPv4 drop-down list, select Manually.
6. Enter your IP settings in the required fields.
7. Click OK
Switching Your Production
Now that you have your everything connected, the switcher is ready to start switching your
production. This happens when you switch from one video source in your broadcast to another. source
1-4 can be any SDI video signal connected to the SDI inputs, source 5-6 can be any HDMI video signal
connected to the HDMI inputs like cameras, computers, game consoles etc. You can even load stills
and video from the USB media pool. With the Switcher, you can switch cleanly using professional cuts
or transitions. For example, a cut will instantly change from one source to another and a transition
will change sources over a defined duration often using an effect.
* Switching sources using numbered PGM button
Simply press the numbered button under PGM (red color), it will switch directly
* Switching sources using numbered PVW Cut button
Simply select the numbered source for PVW(green color), then press CUT button. A cut will instantly
change from one source to another without effects.
