FOUR CHEESE MINI EMPANADAS
2 tbsp. parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. provolone cheese
2 tbsp. mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp. fontina cheese
1 tbsp. finely chopped parsley
1 tbsp. finely white onion
12 puff pastry rounds, each
approximately 3 ½ inches in diameter
(available already made in some
supermarkets in the frozen food
section)
Plastic wrap cut to the same size as
the puff pastry rounds (frozen rounds
found at the supermarket are usually
separated in the package by sheets
of plastic, and you could use those)
1. Preheat your Oster
®
Mini Empanada Maker. This will take about 5 minutes, or
until the green button lights up.
2. Meanwhile, combine the grated cheeses, parsley and onion.
3. Place a piece of plastic wrap on the mini empanada mold; place a puff pastry
round on top of the plastic.
4. Spoon 1 t of the cheese mixture onto the middle of the pastry round, close the
mini empanada mold and press firmly.
5. Repeat the last two steps until you have formed 12 mini empanadas; place 6 of
them into your Oster
®
Mini Empanada Maker and close.
6. After a few seconds you will see the green light button go off; now wait about 3
minutes, or until the green light goes back on. At that point, your mini empanadas
are ready. Remove them carefully.
7. Repeat this last step with the remaining 6 mini empanadas and you will have 12
delicious mini empanadas.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes. Makes 12 mini empanadas.
