It is recommended to connect the board power supply terminals to the Control Panel's output
for peripheral devices. In case the Control Panel's output for peripheral devices cannot provide the
maximum load current of 0.7A (required for the normal operation of the Lun-9C board), it is
recommended to connect the board power supply terminals to the external 12V battery with the
own charger.
Events received from the Control Panel are stored in the buffer (32 events capacity) until
transmitted to CMS. The events are transmitted in the same way as received form the Control Panel.
To transmit the events one of the SIM cards is used (one of them is primary and the second
one is standby). The data is transmitted via 3G/GPRS channel (highest priority, provides the
transmission system type 1 according to EN54-21) or the voice channel (DTMF low priority, provides
the transmission system type 2 according to EN54-21). The voice channel is used only when there is
no connection via 3G/GPRS channel. The number of zones processed in transmitting of events via
the voice channel is limited to 128, the number of groups (sections) is limited to 32.
The unit can use both the closed network (UDP, VPN protocol) and the open network (internet,
TCP protocol).
To control the operation of the security system, periodic messages transmitted by the
connected Control Panel or generated by the unit itself are used.
5.1. Unit operation modes
The unit can operate in one of the following two modes:
1.
Fire mode
. Used as a “Fire Alarm and Malfunction Warning Unit” according to EN 54-21. The
connection diagram is shown in Figure 3.
In this mode, the relay output of the Control Panel warning about the fire is connected to
input 1
. The relay output of the Control Panel warning about the malfunction is connected to
input 2
. All these inputs (1 and 2) check three states – normal, failure, malfunction.
Input 3
is a test input. It is designed to check the functional capability of the unit indication
after mounting. When it is terminated to
GND
, all the indicators of the unit are
ON
.
OUT
terminal (active level – low) uses for Lun-9C unit malfunction transmitting to the Control
Panel (it should be connected to Control Panel input).
Attention! The unit transmits the special-purpose “Fire alarm” (from input 1) or
“System malfunction” (from input 2) messages to CMS. If this inputs faulty (break or short
circuit), then unit transmits a zone malfunction message to CMS. Do not confuse this
message with the system malfunction one.
2.
Protection mode
. Used as a “communicator”. In this mode Lun-9C is a “telephone line
receiver” for a third party Control Panel. The unit receives coded messages from the Control
Panel which are transmitted to CMS via 3G or GSM network. The connection diagram is
shown in Figure 4.
In this mode all own inputs (with numbers 131...133) are 24-hour protection zones with the
terminal impedance of 4.7kOhm. There are two states of the zone: normal and alarm.
