Robot Module Removal and Replacement
The Robot Module is a CRU located at the top of the Base Module.
The robot must be parked in the Base Module with the robot lock engaged and the
thumbscrews loosened before attempting to remove the Robot Module.

Caution:
The Robot Module, front control panel, and Base Module chassis are critical
to maintaining the product serial number and customer settings. Only replace
one unique device during a single power-down cycle.
Remove the Robot Module
You must park and latch the robot before attempting to remove the Robot Module.

Park and Lock the Robot
Parks the robot at the top of the Base Module, where you can lock it into place.

Power down the library with the “to prepare the robot for removal" option enabled.

If the robot cannot be parked by using the power-down procedure, perform the
manual robot extraction procedure. See

Remove the top drive tray or drive filler from the Base Module. See

Look through the drive slot and locate the position of the robot.

Verify the robot is fully seated against the ceiling of the library.
Repeat the parking procedure if necessary to make sure the robot is secured in
the proper position.
