INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
To get the best out of your new appliance, please read this user guide carefully before using it for the
first time. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference, so that you can re-
mind yourself of the functions of your appliance.
Safety measures
1. Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and damage.
2. Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any injury or damage re-
sulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
3. For connection to 220-240 V, 50 Hz only.
4. For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
5. The appliance, cord or plug must not be placed in water or any other liquid.
6. Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.
7. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.
8. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced phy-
sical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given su-
pervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
9. Keep the appliance and its cord aut of reach of children.
10. Do not allow the cord to hang over the edge of a table/counter, and keep it away from hot objects
and naked flames.
11. Never try to bypass the built-in safety lock. Starting the appliance can be very dangerous if the lid is
not correctly fitted.
12. Due to the very high speed of the motor, NEVER RUN EMPTY or with solids, never run more than 60
seconds at one time. Always unplug at the time of pouring and cleaning, and avoiding your hand or
fingers to be hurt.
13. Never remove the lid while the blades are rotating. Wait until they are completely stopped.
14. Remove the plug from the socket before removing the lid from the appliance before cleaning, when
not in use or cleaning.
15. Avoid pulling the cord when removing the plug from the socket. Instead, hold the plug.
16. Check regularly that neither cord nor plug is damaged and do not use if they are, or if the appliance
has been dropped or damaged in any other way.
17. If the appliance or plug is damaged, it must be inspected and if necessary, repaired by an authorised
repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk of electric shock. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.
18. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under guarantee.
19. Keep your children safe: do not leave any parts of the packaging readily accessible (i.e. plastic bags,
cardboard boxes, polystyrene inserts, etc.).
• WARNING! Never let children play with plastic film or bags. Choking/asphyxiation hazard!
