Place the workpiece on top of the sanding belt, place it against the counter stop and press it
down.

Replacing the sanding belt
ATTENTION!
Use a new sanding belt if it is worn out. Continued use of a worn sanding belt may
damage the rollers and other parts of the belt grinder.
INFORMATION
Abrasive grains of corundum are glued onto abrasive paper with the aid of binders. Corundum
is aluminium oxide with the chemical name Al
2
O
3
. The grain size indicates whether an abra-
sive paper is coarse, medium, fine or very fine. Grain 100-180, for example, is a fine grain. The
numbers (40, 60, 80, 120) indicate the number of meshes per 25.4 mm length of one sieve side
of a vibrating sieve. The grain mixture of the abrasives is separated by vibrating screens
according to grain size. The higher the grain number, the finer the abrasive paper.
Unscrew the fixing screws of the cover (6) at the bottom and top as well as the lateral screw
(5) in order to be able to open the cover (6).
Turn out the tension lever (7) to release the tension of the grinding belt and then lift the
grinding belt off the rollers and insert a new grinding belt.
