Note:

• The Speaker Distance settings have no effect on 

SACD (multichannel area and 2-channel area) and 
196 kHz/176.4 kHz DVD-Audio.

Setting Levels With the Test Tone

AV Synchronization

When using progressive scanning you may find that the 
picture and sound are out of sync. With this setting you 
can delay the audio to correct this. There are three setup 
memories (1, 2, 3) for storing settings for up to three 
components. Memories 2 and 3 are already set at 50 ms, 
which is a good staring point when compensating for the 
video delay caused by a typical projector with a built-in 
scaler.

[SETUP] button to exit setup, or 
press the Left [

menu.

Use the Up

buttons to select Test Tone, and 
then press the [ENTER] button.

The Test Tone settings appear onscreen.

buttons to select a speaker,

press [ENTER] again.

Repeat for each speaker.

A test tone is output by each speaker as 
it is selected.
Speaker levels can be adjusted in 1 dB 
steps.

You cannot set the level of speakers that 
are set to Off.
