8.7 Dismantling the end device from the LCH spring arm
(See "Figure 16")
Follow the safety instructions
Follow the general safety instructions prescribed in
“Chapter 8.1” on page 80 .
1. Check whether the end device (e.g. OR lamp) on the LCH spring arm

can be
rotated more than 360degrees.
• If this is the case, an internal 3-, 5- or 7/9-pole plug coupling

has been mounted
and the end device (e.g. OR lamp) may be dismantled by you as a technician
authorised by the operator.
Dismantling the cover panels
1. Unscrew 2 countersunk Phillips screws M3 x 6 mm

.
2. Gently disengage each cover panel

on the two staggered straps

using a
suitable slotted screwdriver.
3. Remove the 2 cover panels

Sudden release of spring arm
The LCH spring arm
6
contains a powerful spring. When the end device
(e.g. OR lamp) is dismantled, the spring arm can suddenly jump up and
may cause serious injury:
• Before removing the end device (e.g. OR lamp), make sure that the
vertical lift of the LCH spring arm
6
as described in
“Chapter 9.4.3” on
page 101
is restricted to the lowermost end stop (horizontal position).
4. Restrict the LCH spring arm
6
to the horizontal position as described in
“Chapter
9.4.3” on page 101
.

It must no longer be possible to move the LCH spring arm
6
upwards beyond the
horizontal position.
5. Slightly unscrew the 2 brake screws

6. Unscrew the Allen countersunk screw M4 x 4 mm

and push the securing ring for
the securing segment
6
backwards towards the spring arm.
7. To relieve the securing segment

slightly lift the end device and remove it using a
suitable slotted screwdriver.
NOTE – Different plug couplings
Depending on the version of the end device (e.g. flat screen, OR lamp, etc.), the LCH
spring arm
6
is equipped with a 3-, 5- or 7/9-pole plug coupling.
For the 3-pole

and 5-pole plug coupling
A
only:
• Disengage the assembly connection

and gently remove the adaptation with the
end device (e.g. OR lamp) from the LCH spring arm
6
, keeping it straightly axially
aligned.
For the 7/9-pole plug coupling
B
only:
• Gently withdraw the adaptation with the end device (e.g. OR lamp) from the LCH
spring arm

.
• Screw the 3 plug adapters

apart, disengage the 6-pole plug

and remove the end
device (e.g. OR lamp).
8. Insert the securing segment

, push the securing ring for the securing segment

forwards and screw in the Allen countersunk screw M4 x 4 mm
