Initial Power ON

This section describes how to Power ON the Industrial Monitor for the first time.

WARNING

Ensure that installation and post-installation checks of the product are
performed by personnel in charge who possess a thorough understand-
ing of the machinery to be installed.

5-5-1

Initial Power ON Procedure

Use the following procedure to power ON the Industrial Monitor for the first time.

1

Ensure the following conditions are present before applying power for the first time:
• The Industrial Monitor is securely fastened to the mounting surface.
• The Industrial Monitor is connected to ground.
• All connectors are securely fastened.

Supply power to the Industrial Monitor.
The Status LED will blink green while the host PC has no power.

Precautions for Safe Use

Always check the power supply and power connections before applying power. Incorrect power
connections can damage the product or cause burning.

Supply power to the host PC.
Windows drivers will automatically install upon detection of the Industrial Monitor.
The Logo LED will become lit.
The monitor will display content from the host PC.

Verify that the host PC is responding to finger touches on the touchscreen of the Industrial
Monitor.

5

Install the Industrial Monitor Utility and Industrial Monitor Brightness Utility if necessary.

6

Open the Industrial Monitor Utility and adjust the backlight, Logo LED, and Status LED bright-
ness to desired levels and then save the settings.

The Industrial Monitor is ON and ready for operation.

Additional Information

The Industrial Monitor Utility and Industrial Monitor Brightness Utility are pre-installed on the
Industrial Box PC and Industrial Panel PC products.
