SETUP
Setting up the Amplifier
Set up the amplifier on an even, solid surface. In order to ensure sufficient cooling, air must always be able
to flow freely through all air vents. Steady overheating will damage the amplifier.
Making the Connections
All connections have to be made or changed only if the amplifier is switched off!
1)
Four audio units with line level (e.g. CD player, tuner, mixer) can be connected to the stereo RCA jacks
LINE INPUT 1 to 4. Always connect the left channel to the white jack and the right channel to the red
jack.
2)
An additional audio unit with line level can be connected to the 3.5 mm jack on the front panel (e.g. MP3
player, smartphone notebook). The audio player will be muted when this jack is connected.
3)
Use the MIC IN jack to connect a dynamic microphone via an XLR or 6.3 mm jack plug.
4)
In stereo mode, the amplifier can operate two speakers or two speaker groups. The amplifier is able to
deliver 2 x 300 watts for 4 Ω speakers and 2 x 200 watts for 8 Ω speakers. Use the red terminals
(positive contact) and black terminals (negative contact) for connecting the speakers.
For double output power it is possible to switch over to bridge mode and operate one speaker or one
speaker group. In this case, use the two red terminals for the connection.
Always use sufficiently dimensioned cables (min. 2.5 mm²). When interconnecting several speakers, it
is especially important to consider the correct connection to positive and negative contacts and that the
minimum total impedance is 4 Ω for stereo and 8 Ω for bridge operation. Please refer to skilled
personnel if you are not familiar with the connection of several speakers.
5)
For connection to units with line level (e.g. recording unit or additional amplifier) the stereo RCA output
OUTPUT can be used.
6)
Finally connect the amplifier to a mains outlet (230 V AC, 50 Hz ~) with the mains cable.
Operation
To prevent loud switching noise, always switch on all other units before switching on the amplifier. After
operation, switch off the power amplifier first. Prior to switching on set the level controls to the left stop
position.
1)
Select the operating mode with the MODE selector switch: STR = stereo mode or BRGD = bridge
mode.
2)
Then switch on the amplifier with the power switch. The blue power indicator lights up.
3)
Use the INPUT SELECT switch to select signal source and adjust the desired volume with the LEVEL
control. Adjust the sound with the LOW and HIGH controls.
4)
Mix the microphone signal to the master signal with the MIC LEVEL control
5)
After operation, switch off the amplifier with the power switch. The power indicator goes off.
