1. INTRODUCTION
Thank you for having chosen an OMNITRONIC CM-742. If you follow the instructions given in this manual,
we can assure you that you will enjoy this device for many years.
Unpack your OMNITRONIC CM-742.
Please make sure that there are no obvious transport damages. Should you notice any damages on the A/C
connection cable or on the casing, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your local
dealer.

Channels 1-3 on the rearpanel switchable between phono and aux • Channels 1-3 on the frontpanel
switchable between line and phono/aux • Channel 4 switchable between line and mic 2 • 1 separate DJ-mic
channel with input-sensitivity-control (Mic Level), 3-fold tone-control (bass, middle, treble) and talkover-
switch • Mic 1 microphone-input via unbalanced XLR-socket on the frontpanel • Mic 2 microphone-input via
1/4" mono-jack on the rearpanel • Input-sensitivity-control (gain) for each channel • 3-fold, separate tone-
control (bass, middle, treble) for each channel with extremely wide range • Kill-function (signal attenuated by
-30 dB) and F/X-function (signal enforced by +15 dB) possible • High-quality and super-smooth ALPS-
channel-faders • With Crossfader Curve-function for extremely fast cut-times and scratch-times • With
Crossfader Reverse-function for inverting the channels • Super-smooth ALPS-crossfader replaceable from
above • The crossfader can freely be assigned to channels 1-4 (Channel Assign-selector) • Crossfader
Remote Start-function switchable via X-Start-button • 1 beat-indicator per channel for perfect mixing • 3 LED-
level-displays (master-out L/R and Cue Level) • Headphones-connection on the frontpanel • Headphones-
output adjustable via Cue Level-fader • Additional Cue Split/Cue Mix-button • Cue Split-function: the Cue-
signal is on the one side of the headphones and the output-signal on the other side • Cue Mix-function: the
adjustable mix of Cue-signal and output-signal is on both sides of the headphones • Mixing of the
headphones-signal possible via cue mixing-fader • Effect Send and Effect Return-sockets on the rearpanel •
