OPERATION
It is best to take your time and experiment with your new monitor. If possible, use well-known sound material
in order to feel the neutrality of the speaker. Experiment with different locations and positions before using
the possibilities of adapting the monitor to the room acoustics.
1
Prior to switching on, turn the
volume control
on the front side to minimum to avoid a possible
switching-on noise. Then switch on the speaker system with the
power switch
. The
power indicator
lights blue.
2
Adjust the overall volume with the
volume control
. Only advance the control so far that the sound will
not be distorted.
3
It is possible to adapt the monitor to the room acoustics.
The
ACOUSTIC SPACE
switch reduces low frequencies and compensates for exaggerated low-
frequency response due to monitor placement (-2 dB and -4 dB). In the 0 dB position, the frequency
response is not affected.
The
HF TRIM
switch adapts the high range between -2 dB and + 2 dB. In the 0 dB position, the
frequency response is not affected.
If required, activate the low cut filter with the
LF CUT OFF
switch to suppress low-frequent signal parts
below 80 Hz or 100 Hz. In the FLAT position, the filter is deactivated.
4
When the monitor receives no signal for about 10 minutes, the speaker will automatically enter standby
mode. The
LED indicator
at the front switches to red. To manually switch to standby mode, turn the
volume control
to the left stop position.
5
After operation, set the
volume control
to minimum, then switch off the speaker system with the
power
switch
. The
power indicator
extinguishes.
6
When operating the speaker system, please make sure that the loudspeakers always sound well. When
distortions can be heard, either the amplifier or the loudspeakers are overloaded. Overloads can quickly
lead to amplifier or speaker damage. In order to avoid damage, please reduce the volume immediately
when distortions can be heard. When speaker systems are destroyed by overload, the guarantee
becomes void.
