The temperature reading
is erratic. The sensor
head has just been
moved from one extreme
temperature to room
temperature [0°C or
50°C (32°F or 122°F)] or
vice versa.

Problem

Solution

The thermometer has to stabilize
before taking temperature
measurements. It takes up to
