PRESSURIZATION
Rapid pressurization can cause damage to the activated carbon tower! Activated carbon
tower should be pressurised extremely slowly through an appropriate valve at the inlet.
During the pressurisation process the outlet valve should remain closed and the adsorption
dryer should not be operational.
Follow the pressurisation procedure:
•
Make certain that the outlet valve is closed.
•
Open the inlet valve slightly until you hear first flow noise.
•
Wait until you no longer hear flow noise.
•
Fully open the inlet valve and wait until the manometer indicates that tower is
pressurised to the operating pressure.
OPENING OUTLET VALVE
Opening of the outlet valve should be done extremely slowly especially when the system
downstream of the valve is not pressurized.
Follow the procedure:
•
Open the outlet valve slightly until you hear first flow noise.
•
Wait until you no longer hear flow noise.
•
Fully open the outlet valve.
Maintenance
•
Replace activated carbon cartridge(s) every 6 months or sooner if required
(cartridges can be replaced trough upper cap
–
unscrew 4 acorn nuts and remove
cap).
•
Damaged components are to be replaced by new ones. If a marked degree of
damage is found, the entire tower is to be replaced.
•
Tower has been designed for a life of 10 years in normal operating environment.
After 10 years periodical checks of tower integrity are strongly recommended for
safe operation.
•
Carry out a check for leaks once the maintenance work has been finished.
Before maintenance depressurize the system!
