Protected pictures cannot be erased with [ERASE], [SEL.IMAGE], 
or [ALL ERASE], but they are all erased by formatting.

Pictures taken with the camera held vertically are displayed horizontally during playback. This 
function lets you rotate such pictures so that they are displayed vertically on the monitor, and 
the new picture orientations will be saved even after the power is turned off.

Select a picture with

 to select [+90°], [0°], or [-90°]. You can rotate several 

frames in succession.

Sound is recorded for about 4 seconds.

recording.

• The [BUSY] bar will be temporarily displayed.

Protected pictures cannot be erased. Cancel protection before erasing protected pictures. 
Once erased, pictures cannot be restored. Check each picture before erasing to avoid 
accidentally erasing pictures you want to keep.
• When erasing the picture in the internal memory, do not insert the card into the camera.
• When erasing the picture from the card, insert a card into the camera in advance.
