Step 2: Install USB 3.0 PCI express card driver
MS-Windows 8
With the MS-Windows 8 operating system, this step is not necessary. The driver for
the USB 3.0 PCI express card was automatically installed with the operating system.
MS-Windows 7
Driver installation with MS-Windows 7
With the MS-Windows 7 operating system, the driver for the USB 3.0 PCI express
card isn't automatically installed.
1)
Open the Device Manager.
Depending on the operating system you use, opening the Device Manager
is done in different ways. If required, refer to your operating system's online
help for further information on the Device Manager.
As long as the driver
for the USB 3.0
express card is not
installed, an
exclamation mark
with a yellow
background appears
in the Device
Manager.

Device Manager
dialog box opens.
To install this driver, do the following:
1)
Insert the CD with the USB 3.0 express card's driver in the CD drive. The CD
was supplied with the USB PCI express card.
2)
Open the
Windows
folder.
3)
Double click the
setup.exe
file.
Log on as an administrator
To be able to install software, you must log on to your computer as an adminis-
trator. If you don't have administrator rights, contact your company's authorized IT
specialist.
