Returning the colposcope for repair
Olympus is not liable for any injury or damage which occurs
as a result of repairs attempted by non-Olympus personnel.
Before returning the colposcope for repair, contact Olympus. With the
colposcope, include a description of the malfunction or damage and the name
and telephone number of the individual at your location who is most familiar with
the problem. Also include a repair purchase order.
Focus cannot be
adjusted.
The limit of the focus adjustment
range has been reached.
Move the microscope
body up or down so that
observation is possible.
The focus range is too
narrow or wide.
The limit of the zoom range has
been reached.
Use a magnification within
the current zoom range.
The entire visual field
is hard to observe
(when the operator is
wearing glasses).
The height of the eyepiece
shade(s) is not properly adjusted.
Adjust the height of the
eyepiece shade (Section
4.7).
The arm moves on its
own.
The vertical balance has not
been adjusted.
Adjust the balance.
The rotation tension level is too
low for each rotating part.
Adjust the rotation
tension.
The microscope body
tilts under its own
weight, or tilting is
heavy.
The tilt tension has not been
adjusted.
Adjust the tilt tension.
