AUTOFOCUS (AF)
Although this camera's autofocus can lock on virtually any subject,
there are certain conditions, such as
shown below, where it may
not be possible to obtain the correct focus. In the situations shown
in
on the next page, autofocus may not lock on the correct
subject even though the autofocus indicator lights and the shutter
releases.
Subjects with low contrast
Subjects that do not contain
vertical lines
Subjects in excessively bright
light
Use the focus lock by first
focusing on something at the
same distance as the subject you
wish to take a picture of, and then
aim at the subject.
Use the focus lock first while
holding the camera vertically.
Then switch the camera to the
horizontal position to take the
photograph.
