Data File Types

The EPOCH 1000 Series supports two file types. These files allow storage of
calibration data or standard inspection data. Each file type appears as a separate tab
in the

Create

setup page, accessible by choosing

5/5 > Files > Create

.

Each file type has a unique set of setup items. Not all items are mandatory to properly
set up a file for data storage.

The following sections describe each file type in detail. In each section, a list of
mandatory and optional fields is provided to aid in file setup.

10.3.6.1

Calibration File

A CAL file is designed for storage of instrument setups (calibrations). These files can
only contain one saved ID at a time. This allows you to rapidly recall an instrument
setup, either from the data logger submenu, or by using the

[RECALL SETUP]

button

on the instrument keypad.
