Connecting the PCIe x1 cable

• Insert the cable connectors all the way.
• Do not remove the ExpressCard during operation of the laptop
PC.
• Do not put an unnecessary load on the ExpressCard, such as
an unreasonable force.
Check the orientation of the connector of the PCIe x1 cable and insert
it into the connector on the PCIe extension box.
Insert the ExpressCard all the way into the card insertion slot* of the
laptop PC.
* ExpressCard/34 slot:
Hold the card with the surface marked “INSERT” facing up
and insert.
ExpressCard/54 slot:
Hold the card with the surface marked “INSERT” facing up
and insert it along the left edge of the slot.
} For the position to insert the slot or the procedure to insert the
Express-Card, refer to the Instruction Manual of the Laptop PC in use.
Check the direction of the PCIex1 cable and insert it to the ExpressCard.
