Brightness fluctuations in the camera image
With very high illumination intensities and short exposure times, the
following phenomena can occur:
n
Flickering in the image displayed
n
Exposure fluctuation
If possible, reduce the illumination light level or use an attenuation
filter to increase the exposure time to 20 ms or longer.
Obscured periphery of the field of view due to long intermediate
tubelength
If the intermediate tubelength is long (see examples below), the
periphery of the field of view may be obscured depending on the
observation tube and objective used together.
Examples when the intermediate tubelength is long:
n
2 or more intermediate tubes are used in a stack.
n
BX3 series: The reflected light illuminator and the
intermediate adapter are combined.
n
IX3 series: IX73P2F or IX83P2ZF is used as a microscope
frame.
n
All reflected microscopes when a brightfield or polarization
observation method is used. Exceptions are the BX53MRF-S
and BX53MTRF-S microscope frames when the reflected
light illuminator BX3M-KMA-S is used.
