Help with problems
Most of the problems concerning image quality can be solved by changing the cam-
era settings. To open the
Camera Settings
dialog box, click the
Settings
button
located in the
Camera Control
tool window. You will find the
Camera Control
tool win-
dow either on the right hand side of your screen, or, if you chose the
DP-Controller
Style
when you installed your program, at the bottom of your screen.

Your computer doesn't start.
The PCI board has not been
properly inserted in your PC's
PCI slot.
Switch your PC off, pull out the
power plug, then insert the PCI
board firmly in the PCI slot.
Plug the power plug back in, and
switch your PC on.
"Live" and "Snap" are inac-
tive.
The connection between the
camera and your PC is faulty.
Switch your PC off, pull out the
power plug, then insert the plugs
on the connector cable firmly into
the PCI board and the camera.
Plug the power plug back in, and
switch your PC on.
The device drivers have not been
correctly installed.
Check the camera's installation.

A false camera has been se-
lected in the
Camera Control
picklist located below the
Live
and
Snap
buttons.
Select the correct camera from
this picklist.

No live-image can be seen.
The lamp on your microscope is
not switched on.
Switch the lamp on.
The camera isn't in the light path.
Set the light path so that the light
falls on the camera.
Either the illumination has been
falsely set, or the sample falsely
positioned.
Check the illumination and the
sample.
With an acquired image, the
message "Error making a
snapshot" appears.
The connection between the
camera and your PC is faulty.
Switch your PC off, pull out the
power plug, then insert the plugs
on the connector cable firmly into
the PCI board and the camera.

The live-image jerks.
Select a lower resolution.
