4. Operating the ChainSCANNER

The ChainSCANNER is designed to be used manually. It is simple to operate.

To operate the ChainSCANNER

Fasten the scanner around the pipe to be inspected (see “To prepare the
ChainSCANNER for an inspection” on page 49).

Center the inspection area between the probes (see “To move the probe holders
together” on page 32 and Figure 4-1 on page 53).
