Shooting mode setting — Mode dial (Cont.)
My Mode
Your favorite settings can be saved in MY MODE SETUP menu (in the
menu’s SETUP tab). Customized settings are activated when the power is
turned on in the
mode. Settings such as aperture value, zoom position,
etc. can be customized. In the

specified with the camera’s setting menus.
In MY MODE SETUP, you can create and save up to 4 different My Mode

Aperture priority shooting
Allows you to set the aperture manually. The camera sets the shutter
speed automatically. By decreasing the aperture value (F-number), the
camera will focus within a smaller range, producing a picture with a blurred
background. Increasing the value will let the camera focus over a wider
range in the forward and backward directions, resulting in a picture in
which both the subject and the background are in focus (P. 58).
