Displaying the Menu
Gently press
. If is held for more than 1 second, the screen changes to Manual focus
setting screen.

Close the Menu: After setting on the Menu, press repeatedly until the Menu
disappears.

Set the Mode dial to P or A/S/M.

Hold down for more than 1
second.

When the focus distance selection
screen appears on the monitor,
press

to select MF.

to select the focus
distance.

Hold down for more than 1
second to save the setting.

Shoot. Focus is locked at the
distance you have set.

To cancel the saved MF setting,
hold down
again for more than 1
second to display the focus
distance selection screen.

to select AF, then press

The MF can be locked at the same length as when you perform focus lock.
(1) Focus on anything within the AF target mark. Press the Shutter button halfway to
focus lock. The AF confirmation mark lights.
(2) Without letting go of the Shutter button, hold down for more than 1 second. The
focus distance screen appears. On the screen, MF is selected and the focus distance
is the same as when you performed focus lock.
