Using the Telephone
Switching the Handset On/Off / Display
Illumination
When the handset is inserted in the base
station or charging unit, it switches on
automatically. The display shows that the
device is in standby mode. The unit begins
to charge the batteries.
Allow the batteries to be charged for 16
hours without interruption the first time they
are charged.
Note: The display illumination switches on
automatically when the handset is removed
from the charging station or pressing any
key. It also lights up when a call comes in. It
goes out automatically when no key has
been pressed for 10 seconds.

The telephone can also be switched on and off manually by pressing and
holding key for 3 seconds.
Note: Once the handset has been switched off by pressing key , it is
not automatically switched back on by putting it back onto the base station
or charging unit. To switch it back on, press and hold key for
3 seconds.
Selecting the Language
Ten different languages are available for selection for each handset.
Proceed as follows to select a language:
1. Press display key Menu .
2. Press key to select icon
Handset settings .
3. Press OK on the display.
4. Press key to select Language
from the menu.
5. Press OK on the display.
6. Press key to pick one of the
languages.
7. Press OK on the display.
8. Press key . The set will return to
Standby mode.
Note: The following languages are available:
English; Deutsch; Français; Italiano; Nederlands; Português; Türkçe;
Español; ÐÓÑÑÊÈÉ ; EËËÇÍÉKA.
