3
Power on the Fiery ES and allow it to boot without interruption.
4
Make sure that the printer is powered on.
5
Print the Fiery ES Test Page.
6
Ask the site administrator to send a test job to the Fiery ES.
If the same problem persists on the FRU, or if you are unable to perform steps
through
while in the Service Mode,
you may conclude that the old unit was not the source of the problem and does not need to be replaced. In this case, do
not transfer options to the FRU, do not install system software, and do not replace the hard disk drive. Reinstall the old
unit and return the FRU with the unexpended replacement dongle to inventory. For more information about
troubleshooting system problems, see
If installing a FRU solved the problem that you are troubleshooting and you are able to print a Test Page and send a
print job over the network, you are ready to transfer options to the FRU. Service Mode ends automatically when you
transfer options to the FRU.
To transfer options and BIOS information to the FRU
1
Verify the power is turned off on the Fiery ES.
2
Insert the FRU dongle into a USB port.
