11.3.8 Bottom Shaft Assembly/Transfer Roll Assembly
Removal
1. Remove the Top Cover ( REP 11.3.7 Top Cover).
2. Raise the lower Feeder Bearing and the Bottom Shaft Assembly together about 4 mm off the Bearing
Support of the Main Chassis (See (1) in Figure 11.3.8.1).
3. Remove the Feed Belt from the Bottom Shaft Assembly passing it under the bottom end of the
Retard Roll Assembly (See (2) in Figure 11.3.8.1).
4. Move the bottom portion of the Retard Roll Assembly about 3 cm toward you while holding the Roll
Assembly in the state of step 2, then remove the whole assembly downward (See (3) in Figure
11.3.8.1).
5. Slide the upper Feeder Bearing from the Bearing Hole in the Main Chassis (See (4) in Figure
11.3.8.1).
6. Raise the Feeder Bearing and the Transfer Roll Assembly together about 4 mm off the Bearing Sup-
port of the Main Chassis (See (5) in Figure 11.3.8.1).
7. Move the bottom portion of the Transfer Roll Assembly about 3 cm toward you while holding the Roll
Assembly in the state of step 6, then remove the whole assembly downward (See (6) in Figure
11.3.8.1).
8. Slide the upper Feeder Bearing from the Bearing Hole in the Main Chassis (See (7) in Figure
11.3.8.1).

Replacement
Perform the removal steps in reverse order.
