3.6 -  DESCRIPTION OF THE UNIT FUNCTIONS

3.6.1 -  Main on/off switch and unit operating modes

• The unit is equipped with a power switch (10) positioned in the upper right corner under the door (7); the

switch (10) must be positioned to “

I

” (fig. 38) in order to operate.

” position to start the unit.

• Once these operations have been carried out, the unit may be operated using the remote control.

• The remote control will beep when it receives a command.

• The maximum distance from which the unit can be controlled is approximately 26 feet/8 meters (with new

batteries)

3.6.2 - 

ECO button

• Press the

 button on the remote control to activate the energy savings function, automatically optimizing 

the unit features (

3.6.3 - 

Turning the unit ON/OFF

• Press the 

B1

 button on the remote control to activate or deactivate the unit’s stand by mode.

the unit’s control system is equipped with memory, for this reason all the settings will not be lost when
turning off the unit.

 If the unit will be idle for extended periods of time it must be deactivated by turning 

the main switch off or unplugging the unit.

3.6.4 - 

Operation in “Cooling” mode only

• When used in this mode, the unit dehumidifies and cools the room.

• To activate this mode, press several times the button

 on the remote control until when the symbol

appears on its display.

• In this run mode, the required temperature and fan speed can be set.

after a maximum of 3 minutes the compressor will start and the unit enters cooling mode.

3.6.5 - 

Operation in “Dehumidification” mode

• In this mode the unit reduces humidity in the space while not providing as much cooling. This function can

be extremely useful between seasons, particularly on rainy days when the temperature is not uncomfort-
able but the excess humidity feels unpleasant.

• In this mode both room temperature and fan speed settings are ignored, which correspond to minimum.

• Any fan temperature and speed indication then disappears from the display (LED6) of the control panel

(fig.C).

• To activate, press the 

B5

 button on the remote control mltiple times until the display shows symbol 

D3

and the automatic ventilation symbol 

D18

 (fan + first notch) appear on its display.

• In this mode it is normal for the unit to function intermittently.
