SNMP
The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) lets a network
administrator monitor problems on a network by retrieving settings on
remote network devices. Network administrator typically runs an SNMP
management station program such as MIB browser on a local host to
obtain information from an SNMP agent such as the A400A.
1. System Contact: Enter information about the system contact
person in the
System Contact
field.
For example, you might enter the email address of the person
responsible for the A400A.
2. System Name: Enter information about the system name in
the
System Name
field.
For example, you might enter the administratively-assigned name for
the A400A.
3. System Location: Enter information about the system location
in the
System Location
field.
For example, you might enter the physical location of this node such
as building, floor, or room number where the A400A is located.
