• Ensure the mains voltage and the frequency is the same indicated on the plate on the motorvibrator.
• Disconnect the line before carrying out any maintenance or during mass adjusting.
• Each repair or replacement of the components must only be carried out by specialist staff.
• When connecting the motorvibrator to the line, the yellow-green cable (green only for USA) of the ground must
always be long enough to avoid breaking first in the event of structural failure.
• Power cables too long cause drops in voltage! (comply with the standard provisions).
When the motorvibrators are installed in pairs, each of them must be equipped with its own external protection
against overloading, which must be interlocked with one another, to avoid operation of a single motorvibrator in the
event the other accidentally stops.
Always use delayed action circuit breakers, to avoid their intervention during the start-up phase, in which the absorbed
current can reach high levels (especially where low temperatures are present).
Protection against overload NOT EXCEEDING 10% of the plate data, otherwise the warranty is void!
THE OPERATION MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT EXCLUSIVELY BY QUALIFIED STAFF.
All electrical components which the installer will insert in the electrical motorvibrator (e.g. protect against overload,
sensors, capacitors...) should be compliant:
• For ATEX IECEX II 3D certification: ATEX II 3D (Directive 2014/34/EU).
• For connection of the motorvibrator equipotentiality, connect the machine to the ground using the specific terminal
on the body.
MVE MOTORVIBRATORS ARE SUITABLE FOR OPERATION ALSO USING PWM INVERTER.
The motorvibrators can be powered at a variable frequency range from 20 Hz to the plate frequency.
The inverter powers the motor at voltage U and frequency f variable, maintaining ratio U/f constant (obtainable from
the plate values).
For U ≤ U mains, with U/f constant, the motor varies its speed in proportion to the frequency f and absorbs a current
I ≈ IN.
If the cable gland is replaced (position 1 and, 2 on request Fig.2); it is COMPULSORY for the new cable gland used to
comply with the certification level indicated on the motorvibrator plate.
As well as complying with the provisions present, the connection elements for the ground and equipotential
connection, placed outside the electrical construction, must allow efficient connection of a conductor of at least 4 mm
2

USE OF EXTENSIONS FOR ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
If extensions are used, choose the suitable cable section, considering the length of the extension and absorption of the
motor to avoid drops in voltage and relevant malfunctions.
