Calibration routines
The H401-T-CONTROLLER features automatic algorithms to calibrate the heating devices and to
calibrate the Temperature Sensor.

Tip 8
►
Calibration of the Heating Devices is recommended during the first installation of the instrument
and whenever the temperature in the room has changed by more than 1 °C.
Tip 9
►
If two heating devices are connected, each one of them must be calibrated independently.
Tip 10
►
Calibration of the T sensor should be performed once per year. We recommend protecting this
feature with a Password (see 8.2.6).
8.2.2.1
Heating Device Calibration
The H401-T-CONTROLLER allows you calibrate to the connected Heating Devices manually or
automatically. In both cases the outcome of the calibration is an Off-Set value between the temperature of the
liquid inside the sample holder (Petri Dish, Chambered Glass Slide, etc.) and the temperature of the Heating
Device.
To perform the calibration it is necessary to measure the temperature of the liquid inside the sample
holder. For this reason, the H401-T-CONTROLLER is equipped with a fine gauge temperature sensor, which can
be immersed in water and oil (see pointer 2 of Figure 1).
