Confirmation Tasks
Check to see if a sufficient quantity of toner remains in the toner
cartridge.
Check to see if the LED head faces the drum properly in the
prescribed position when the cover is closed. Also check to see
if there is something on the light-emitting surface of the LED
head that obstructs the light emission.
Check to see if the LED head is properly connected.
Check to see if the drum shaft is so mounted that it properly
touches the right and left side plates.
Ensure visually that the high-voltage terminal of the ID unit is
properly in contact with the contact ASSY (see Figure 7-3).
Action at NG
Replace the toner
cartridge.
Correct the installed
position of the LED
head.
Replace the LED head.
Replace the ID unit. To
use a new ID unit on a
trial basis, use FUSE
KEEP MODE of the
System Maintenance
Menu.
