Installation of connecting bolt
Screw eight single-end connection bolts of into the right and left side
panels, and rear panel.

Insert the single-end connection bolts of installed on the rear panel into
the fixed middle shelf plate, and securely tighten the screw-type connector.

After installing the rear panel and fixed middle shelf plate, install the side
panels and securely tighten the screw-type connector.

To Use Safely
This indicates that improper handling due to disregard of this warning may result in injury or
damage to property.
CAUTION
CAUTION
Fully read the instruction manual before assembly, securely
tighten the bolts with a screwdriver, and use all of the assembly
parts without leaving any parts unused to assemble correctly.
Before assembling the re-combination type desk, measure body
height at the beginning, and determine the desktop height
according to the body height to assemble.
When assembling, do not use an electric screwdriver. When any
force more than necessary is applied, the product may be
broken or the bolt may not be removed.
Cautions for assembly
After assembling, fully tighten the product on a flat surface, and
make sure that each part is securely installed.
Do not handle this product roughly or use for any other purpose
than specified. Never apply body weight to any point on the
product, or ride on it. It may result in turnover or breakage, and
is extremely dangerous.
Make sure to only place an object on the product within the maximum
loading mass. Placing an object on the product heavier than the
maximum loading mass may result in turnover or breakage, and is
extremely dangerous.
Desktop maximum loading mass = 40kg
(Uniformly distributed mass)
When unlocking and locking, insert the key all the way and turn
it. Make sure not to forcibly and excessively turn the key. It may
result in breakage of the key and lock.
The lock for this product is not set up for intentional unlocking
or measures to forcibly open, etc. Do not use this product for
storage of valuable items.
Cautions for handling
This product may differ in wood grain and color from the
catalog and sample products.
Immediately after purchase, this product may emit adhesive or
paint odors. In such a case, sufficiently ventilate and aerate.
Periodically allow for ventilation.
Select a horizontal and stable location for installation. Use in a
location where the floor is inclined or unstable may result in
turnover or an accident, and is dangerous.
Avoid using this product in a place subject to direct sunlight,
high temperatures or high humidity. It may result in alteration,
deformation or discoloration.
Cautions for installation
When installing and moving this product, make sure two
persons carry the product without dragging it.
(Dragging the product may result in damage to floors.)
When disassembling the upper part of the separate type wagon,
check that the position of the arrow on the screw-type connec-
tor is directed downward, and then remove it.
This product is a re-combination type desk.
In order to prevent the desktop from falling during re-combination,
make sure to check that there exists the desktop receiving dowel,
and then remove the connecting bolt.
There may be some parts and members which are not used
depending on the assembling pattern. Store them in a safe
place as these parts will always be necessary when
re-combining. Purchase parts again when they are lost.

CAUTION
Do not place any hot object directly on the product.
It may result in alteration, deformation or discoloration.
Do not rub the product with hard material, and do not write with
a writing instrument such as a ball-point pen with a hard tip
without using a desk mat.
It may result in deformation or flaws.
Periodically inspect for looseness of the bolts and connecting
parts of the members, and securely re-tighten them when there
is any looseness.
Use while there is looseness may result in risks of deformation,
breakage and turnover.
Do not allow the product to become wet and remain wet and do
not leave a wet cloth on the product. It may result in deforma-
tion, stains or corrosion of the surface material. When the
surface becomes wet, immediately wipe so that no moisture is
left.
Do not attach any seals or cellophane tape, etc., to the product.
It may result in removal of the surface material.
To ensure long-term use

Wipe with a tightly squeezed cloth. When the product is very
dirty, use a diluted neutral agent (dishwashing soap) and wipe
away dirt completely with a tightly squeezed cloth so that no
soapy residue remains. When a large amount of moisture
remains, deformation and discoloration may result.
Never use alcohol or thinner based solvent since it will damage
the surface.

Desktop Height, Chair Height/Depth
OKAMURA Sorano Series Desk complies with JIS Standard No. 2 (body height 120cm)
through No. 6 (body height 180cm). The desktop height is five-stage adjustable.
The following diagram shows bolt installation positions at the time of assembly according to
each JIS No. In addition, height and depth of a chair sold separately is five-stage adjustable.
Use at a proper height suitable for body height of your child.

the height and the depth of the desk and the chair according to the body
height and the body size of your child.

therefore, use a manual screwdriver.
