7. Valve Leak Tester VPS 504 (only on request)
The valve leak tester checks the gas valves for leaks automatically after burner shutdown, when
the control unit has returned to its "start-up" position (symbol ) and the control voltage is
connected to the valve leak tester.
The motor pump increases the gas pressure in the test section. The pumping time is 10 to 26
sec. depending on the test volume (
£
4 l) and inlet pressure (max. 500 mbar). During testing
time the tester increases the gas pressure in the test section by 20 mbar in comparison with the
pressure present at the inlet side. If there are no leaks, the yellow signal lamp (operation) lights
up and the tester allows the burner to start (time for start-up signal is approx. 10 to 30 sec). If
the test section is leaky or if the pressure increase by 20 mbar is not attained during the test
period, the tester generates a fault approx. 30 sec. after the beginning of the pumping. The red
signal lamp (failure) lights up and the burner is not allowed to start. The failure gives an alarm
signal (230 VAC 1A).
The failure can be reset by failure signal button (red) or by a short voltage drop, after which the
tester makes a new test.
