An “SEW” fi le is an expanded fi le format that works with Janome Scan-n-Sew PC and
Elna Envision Scan PC.

A “CSD” fi le is an expanded fi le format that works with DOS HuskyGram, Toyota POEM and
Singer Embroidery Unlimited,
A “DST” fi le is one of the expanded fi le formats that works with the Tajima embroidery machines,
and some home machines.
An”EXP” fi le is one of the expanded fi le formats that works with the Magic Box.
An expanded format is any format that will not regenerate new stitches when resized. This means
that if an expanded design is reduced, the stitch count will not change. The stitches will get closer
together and thread/needle breaks and/or damage to your garment could occur.
NOTE: The Magic Box software does not read the ART (*.art) format. Use the sizing software that
is included with your Magic Box to convert ART designs to another format before Reading them to
the Magic Box. The free OESD designs in the Magician Sizing by Simon Software and the “100
Free Designs” CD that you will receive when you send in your registration card are in the ART
format.
