Planetary Final Drive Service Manual

Cover Subassembly

1.

Install three Pipe Plugs (6H) into the Cover (6A) and torque to 33-36 ft-lbs.

2.

Grease the O-ring (5) and place it in the groove in the Cover (6A).

3.

Grease the Thrust Washer (6J) and place on the inner hub of the Cover (6A).

4.

Grease O-ring (6G) and install into the internal groove in the Cover (6A).

5.

Install Cover Cap (6B) to the Cover (6A) using two Hex Bolts (6L) and Tighten the Bolts to a
torque of 10-11 ft-lbs.

6.

Grease the O-ring (6F) and install into the internal groove in the Cover Cap (6B).

7.

Grease the O-ring (6K) and install into the internal groove in the Cover Cap (6B).

8.

Attach the Disengage Cap (6D) to the Cover Cap (6B) using Hex Bolts (6C). Tighten the
Bolts to a torque of 6-7 ft-lbs.

9.

Turn the Cover (6A) over and push Disengage Rod (6E) until Disengage Rod (6E) bottoms
out on the Disengage Cap (6D).

This concludes the Cover Subassembly.
