DISASSEMBLING THE DRIVE HEAD MECHANISM
CAUTION
:
Move the lock switch into the locked position and remove the battery pack from tool before
disassembling/reassembling any parts.

Insert the ends of a pair of snap ring pliers
into the slot at the base of the directional
disc, located on the top face of the D-head.
The tips of the pliers must be on the outside
of the two ends of the C-ring inside. This may
require manual adjustment to get the C-ring
ends centered in the slot.
Step 1.
Use the pliers to compress the ends of the retaining C-ring,
and remove the directional disc while the ring is compressed.
Step 2.
Carefully remove the
retaining C-ring and
the three other ring
components.
