ANNUAL DEALER INSPECTIONS & FACTORY SERVICE

Like all Oceanic instrumentation, the DataMax Pro should be inspected

annually by an Authorized Oceanic Dealer.  They will perform a depth
factory prescribed function check, and routine inspection for damage or wear.
To keep the two-year limited warranty in effect, this annual inspection must
be done within thirty days of the date of purchase, one year after purchase.
Oceanic recommends that you continue to have this inspection done even
after the warranty period has expired to ensure your DataMax Pro is working
properly.  A convenient service record is provided in the rear of this owner's
manual.  This should be signed by the service technician after each annual
inspection has been completed.  The cost of this service is not covered under
the terms of the two-year limited warranty.   Be sure also to record any
factory services that are performed as well.

WARNING:  If you are in doubt about the accuracy of your
DataMax Pro’s depth readings, DO NOT attempt to dive with
it until it has been inspected by an Authorized Oceanic Ser-
vice facility (Fig. 33).

WARNING:  Never pressure test the DataMax Pro in an air
environment.  Doing so may damage the depth sensor; possi-
bly resulting in erroneous depth or time readings.
