Scan to Net
This feature allows to scan from a single workstation and have the image saved
to another computer connected to the same network. This is based upon a
Client/Server solution:
■
the SCANserver is the computer workstation connected with the scanner and
hosting the scanning software.
■
The SCANclients are the computers on the same network that can receive the
scanned images.
Installation of SCANserver and SCAN client is made during the installation of
Océ Scanner Agent (see ‘Installation of Scan to Net components’ on page 10).
SCANserver
Installation
When you launch the installation of Océ Scanner Agent, in the
‘Select the type of setup you prefer’ window, you have to select ‘Install Océ
Scanner Agent and SCANserver’.
Start
You can either start the SCANserver:
■
automatically if you chose during installation ‘Run SCANserver at start-up’.
■
manually from the quick menu (see ‘Quick menu’ on page 21).
