2.3. Scan mode

In this mode the reader autonomously sends data to the host as soon as a transponder is located in its
detection zone and it has read the required data. Scan mode can be configured within a broad scope,
so that it can be adapted to virtually any application.

In scan mode the data are generally output one time. Only when the transponder has left the detection
zone for time SCAN_LOCK_TIME (see:

5.1.3. SCAN_MODE

) are the data output again.

In scan mode you can read and output either the serial number or a data block from a transponder.
The data format depends on the selected interface (asynchronous or data/clock interface).
