If the kettle continues to switch off before the water reaches the point of
boiling, contact the shop of purchase.
Lime filter
The kettle has a lime filter in the spout. The filter is easily removed for cleaning
by opening the lid of the kettle and gently pulling the filter out and then lifting
it up. Brush the filter off with a washing-up brush under running water or
place the filter in descaling agent for a few minutes when descaling the kettle.
Replace the filter in the slots inside the spout and press it into place.
It is very important that the filter is cleaned and does not scale again, as if not
water cannot pass through the filter, but will run off along the sides, which
involves a risk of burning.
Descaling and cleaning
Clean the kettle at regular intervals for scale and be aware of the following:
• Only boil the necessary amount of water – to save current. Empty the kettle
after each use. This will reduce the amount of scale, and coffee and tee,
brewed on fresh water, have a better taste.
• Check the status of scale often. If there is scale in the kettle, use one of
the ordinary descaling means – such as e.g. citric acid. Do not use ordinary
household vinegar for descaling of the kettle. It is extremely important
to carefully follow the instructions of the product and that the product is
poured out after the duration of action and that the water used for the first
couple of boiling after descaling is not used.
• If there is still a lot of scale left on the heating unit, descale the kettle again
and make sure to descale regularly in the future.
• The descaling process is accelerated by heating the liquid to about 50-
60°C.
Important!
Never use sharp items to remove limestone, as these may damage
the appliance. If the appliance is not descaled at regular intervals, the appliance
may become unusable. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.
The housing of the kettle can be cleaned with a damp cloth and wiped dry. Do
not use scouring or etching detergents. Neither the appliance nor the contact
plate is dishwasher-proof.
Disposal of the appliance
Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment shall be
collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment
marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such
equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.
