coffee brewing
•
Remove the water tank by lifting the lid and pull out the water tank. Fill with the wanted
amount of water (1 small cup = 100 ml, 1 large cup = 125 ml). See the marking on the
water tank for easy filling. Please note that the marking shows the amount of fresh water.
There will always be a little less water in the glass carafe when the brewing is done,
which is due to the absorption of water by the coffee grounds. Put the water tank back in
place.
•
Insert a paper filter (1x4) in the filter funnel and add the wanted amount of coffee in the
filter – approx. 1 measuring jug a cup - and close the lid. Put the glass carafe back in
place and be careful that it is positioned correctly in order that the anti-drip function is
activated by the lid of the glass carafe.
•
Plug the appliance and switch on the coffee maker on the on/off button and the lamp will
go on.
•
After brewing take the glass carafe off the heating plate – please note that the heating
plate always gets very hot. Always remember to turn off the coffee maker, when the
pot has been emptied or if you no longer want to keep the coffee warm. For hygienic
reasons we recommend always to remove the used paper filter from the coffee maker
after brewing.
•
Switch off the coffee machine once the carafe has been emptied or if the coffee is not to
be kept warm.
anti-drip
This coffee maker has an automatic anti-drip function that prevents coffee from running
through the filter funnel, if the carafe is removed from the heating plate. This means that the
glass carafe can be shortly taken off the coffee maker during brewing, but it is important
to put back the glass carafe on the heating plate within max 1 minute. If not, the coffee will
overflow.
