Before use
Before the coffee maker is used for the first time, please read the instruction manual carefully
and save it for future use. Unpack the coffee maker carefully and remove all packing material.
Place the coffee maker on an even, smooth surface. Wash the glass carafe and the filter
holder in hot water with a small amount of washing-up liquid.

We recommend that you brew 2 times with only water before using the appliance. Let the
water run through, disconnect the appliance and pour out the water. Rinse the glass carafe
and repeat the procedure in order to completely clean the coffee maker.
IMPORTANT!
Always use fresh, clean, cold water.
Coffee brewing
Fill the glass carafe with fresh, clean, cold water. Lift off the lid and fill the water tank with the
amount you want – but do not exceed 10 cups. See the marking on the water tank for easy
filling. Please note that this mark shows the amount of fresh water. There will always be a
little less water in the glass carafe when the brewing is done, which is due to the absorption
of water by the coffee grounds.
Insert the paper filter (1 x 4) in the filter holder and add the amount of coffee ground that you
want – approx. 1 measuring jug a cup and close the lid. Put the glass carafe back in place
and be careful that it is positioned correctly in order that the anti-drip function is activated by
the lid of the glass carafe. Plug the appliance and switch on the coffee maker on the on/off
button and the lamp will go on. After brewing take the glass carafe off the heating plate –
please note that the heating plate always gets very hot. Always remember to turn off the
coffee maker, when the pot has been emptied or if you no longer want to keep the coffee
warm. For hygienic reasons we recommend always to remove the used paper filter from the
coffee maker after brewing.
