Before use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, read the instruction manual
carefully and save it for future use.
Urban Steel is a range of kitchen utensils made of high quality stainless 18/8
steel. The term 18/8 signifies that the steel contains 18% chromium and 8%
nickel, which gives optimal durability against rust.
All products of the range work on all kinds of stoves, such as:
• induction
• electric stove
• ceramic hob
• halogen
• gas stove
How to use the saucepan/casserole
Before you use the product for the first time, you should wash it carefully. The
saucepans and the casseroles are dishwasher safe.
All utensils of the range have a sieve, which makes it easy to pour remaining
water without the use of a colander or similar. The glass lid on sauce pans
and casseroles makes it easy to check when boiling temperature is reached
without lifting the lid.
The utensils should not be used in the oven
.
If you should boil liquid and add salt, we recommend that you wait until boiling
point before you add salt in order to avoid salt stains. Hard water can also
cause stains. Such stains are not in any way hazardous and can be removed
according to the instructions given in section “Cleaning and maintenance”.
Never let the utensils boil dry or leave them empty on a hot stove, since they
may be damaged.
Cleaning and maintenance
To remove stains of salt and lime deposits we
recommend that you add vinegar essence to cover
1 cm of the bottom and add the same amount of
water. Let it come to boil and remove the saucepan/
casserole from the hotplate. Let it rest for about 1
hour before you thoroughly rinse the appliance and dry
it with a kitchen towel. The appliance and the lid are
dishwasher-proof.
