How to reset the kettle
If the display or the buttons ”lock”, empty the kettle. Turn the kettle upside down and press
the reset button under the base of the kettle by means of a paper clips or similar. Put the
kettle back on to the conductive base, plug in main socket and let the kettle rest for half an
hour to recharge the battery. The kettle is now ready for use.
Battery
The kettle comprises a lithium-ion, rechargeable battery. When the lifetime of the battery
has elapsed, change it by loosening the screw in the bottom of the handle of the kettle and
remove the battery cover. Remove the battery and insert a new one. Put the battery cover
back on again. The kettle is now ready for use.
If the battery icon is not displayed in the top left corner of the display, this indicates that the
battery needs recharging. Position the kettle on the conductive base and plug the appliance
for half an hour, after which the battery will be charged.
Note: Switch on the kettle by pressing
the on/off
button to recharge the battery.
lime build-up and dry-boiling fuse
The kettle comprises a double dry-boiling fuse:
If lime is building up at the bottom of the heating element, if the heating element is branched
without water or boils dry, the dry-boiling fuse is engaged and the heating element is
automatically decoupled. In this case, check whether there is a lime build-up in the kettle
and descale if necessary. Check the kettle by filling it with water and plug the appliance.
If the fuse still disconnects the heating element before the water is boiling, hand in the kettle
for inspection with the dealer, where it was bought.
lime filter
The kettle comprises a lime filter in the spout. Remove the filter for cleaning by opening the
lid of the kettle and carefully lift the filter upwards and pull it out. Now the lime on the filter
can be brushed off under running water using a soft dish brush or you can immerse it into
descaling liquid for a few minutes, when you do your regular descaling of the kettle. After
cleaning, insert the lime filter again. Take care to properly push the lower pin into place. If
not, the filter may hang loose.
It is very important that the lime filter is cleaned before it is all dressed in lime, which will
prevent the water from passing through the filter and water will seep along the lid, which may
cause scalds.
