OBH Nordica Smart Double Waffle
Before use
Before the waffle iron is used for the first time, read the instructions for use carefully and save
it for future use.
Unwind the cord. Clean the plates with a damp cloth and grease them with fat before you use
the appliance for the first time. The first 2 waffles should not be eaten.
Use
Plug the appliance to an outlet, the red pilot lamp will light. Set the temperature with the
temperature knob. It is recommended to start at max setting and adjust the temperature if
needed. When selected temperature is reached the green pilot lamp will light. The appliance
is ready for use.
Frying
Pour the batter in the middle of the lower plates and close the lid, press for a few seconds
so that the batter is spread evenly. Do not press during the whole process though this will
prevent the waffle from rise. The green pilot lamp will turn on and off during use, this is normal.
Frying time
The frying time depends on the batter and how well fried you want the waffles. When you think
your waffles are ready, open the lid and remove the waffles with a plastic or wooden utensil
(metal can damage the coating). Place the waffles on a grid to keep the crispiness.
Cleaning
Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning. Never clean the appliance when
plugged in. Let the appliance cool before cleaning. Never immerse the appliance or it´s cord
in water or any other liquid.
Use a damp cloth and mild detergent for cleaning of the plates. Never use sharp objects to
clean the plates since the coating can be damaged. Dry the housing with a damp cloth.
