Preparation
The juicer squeezes fruit and vegetables fast and efficiently to a rich and nutritious
juice. Perfect for e.g. carrots, oranges, apples, plums (seedless) cucumbers and the
like.
Position the kitchen machine on an even and stable surface. Set the speed selector
at OFF (or 0 for model 6682/6684) and make sure that the kitchen machine is not
connected during mounting of any accessory. If necessary, press the release handle
and position the mixing head in a vertical position.
First remove the lid of the accessory coupling on the kitchen machine by pressing
the release button and next push the lid upwards in the direction of the arrow. Now
mount the coupling part of the juicer on the accessory coupling unit of the kitchen
machine by inserting the spikes of the coupling part in the grooves of the coupling
part of the accessory. Turn counter-clockwise until it engages with a click. Put a
bowl under the outlet of the juice extractor to let the juice run out. Put also a bowl
underneath the cone strainer (5) to collect the pulp. Plug to a mains socket and the
appliance is ready for use.
Helpful hints for fruit and vegetables
We recommend that you use fruit, berries and vegetables taken direct from the
refrigerator if you want to make a cold juice. Clean the ingredients carefully before
squeezing. Big seeds from e.g. peaches, plums, cherries and apricots shall be removed,
whereas apples and pears can be prepared with the core. Fruit and vegetables (i.a.
melons, pineapples, cucumbers) and citrus fruit shall be peeled in order not to block
the juicing drum. Furthermore, stalks/stems and spots on fruit and vegetables shall
be removed.
How to use the juice extractor
If you press fruit, berries or vegetables that are highly fibrous (e.g. kiwi, pears, carrots
etc.) you can turn the arrow of the cone strainer to 1 on the assembly ring. In this
position the juice will be fine and more easy-flowing. If, however, you press less
fibrous ingredients, turn the assembly ring to 2 or 3.
Feel your way to the setting that is best for the ingredients to be juiced.
Fill the ingredients in the feeding tube (do not overfill; the ingredients should not
exceed the feeding tube). Plug the appliance and switch it on by setting the speed
selector at the wanted speed. We recommend that you start at low speed and then
gradually increase if necessary. Use the pusher to press the ingredients down into
the feeding tube. Take care not to press the pusher too deep as this may damage
the accessory and its coupling. Any consequential damage will not be covered by the
warranty.
Note that the filter needs to be emptied during use if the quantity of fruit/vegetable
is big.
