Engineered for the training requirements of professional athletes, D2 and D3 are the first
digital timepieces in the world to be developed with Oakley 4-D — a new design language
that combines separate three-dimensional ideas into a single unified geometry. We brought
together the digital tools that pros really use, tuned them for the ultimate in performance, and
rendered them in sculptures that are seduced by the shape of your wrist.
Our proprietary software engine stores comprehensive timing data in an expanded memory
core. O Matter
® safeguards the instrument against the pressure of 100-meter water
submergence while armoring it with rugged impact protection. A scratch resistant crystal with
anti-reflective coating protects the biggest, brightest display in digital timekeeping. The
readout is tuned for low power consumption and augmented with user-adjustable contrast
and electroluminescent backlighting for low light conditions. For durability and all-day
comfort, the strap is pure Unobtainium
™ .
An integrated software package allows the D2 wristwatch to store 100 lap times and log
50 separate runs. D3 can store 90 lap times and log 45 separate runs. Lap numbers, lap
times, split times and the fastest lap time are all digitally encoded in extended buffers of
random access memory. An auto calendar reaches the year 2050, and two separate time
zones can be displayed simultaneously. The D3 wristwatch includes a programmable alarm
and a multi-function countdown timer. D2 features three programmable alarms and three
multi-function countdown timers. As instruments of precision engineering, these
timepieces measure up to the performance of professional athletes and measure down to
1/100 second of their performance.
